HFW promotes two finance leaders in continued strengthening of its operations platform

ST. LOUIS – The HFW Companies (HFW), in a move that recognizes the work of team members who are strengthening the operations platform for the firm’s growing architectural and engineering (AE) network, has promoted two key finance leaders.

Michelle Huber

Michelle Huber, MBA, a St. Louis-based HFW principal and AE industry veteran who has been with the firm since 2021, has been promoted to senior vice president of finance from vice president, according to Daniel Forguson, CVA, CPA, chief financial officer of HFW.

“As HFW’s most tenured employee beyond the founders, Michelle has been instrumental in building our financial reporting infrastructure from the very beginning of HFW’s existence,” Forguson said. “In her new role, Michelle will continue to execute large-scale strategic initiatives for the firm, while also leaning heavily into business intelligence automation and unlocking synergistic economies of scale as our platform continues its rapid expansion. She will be driving higher levels of efficiency and long-term ROI for HFW.”

Brenda Jimenez
Brenda Jimenez

HFW, meanwhile, also promoted Atlanta-based Brenda Jimenez to vice president of project controls. She joined the firm in August 2024 as a director to help develop and direct all project controls functions across HFW and its network of partner firms.

“Brenda has led HFW through a transformational shift in project financial reporting sophistication with our network-wide implementation of Unanet AE, coupled with highly customized project controls and project management tools and capabilities,” Forguson said of Jimenez’s role in developing HFW’s operational platform. “In her new role, Brenda will work closely with our Project Excellence & Delivery team in continuing to build a unified, best-in-class, project delivery system to support our growing network of partner firms and their clients.”

HFW, a professional services company founded in 2020, is a premier, best-in-class, national network of AE companies. HFW, in its role, amplifies the collective expertise of its network and provides the platform and resources needed to accelerate growth and create greater long-term value for the partner firms, shareholders, employees, clients, and investors.
HFW currently includes a portfolio of 10 strategic partner firms with a combined 700-plus employees and collective annual revenues that placed HFW at No. 203 in Engineering News-Record’s Top 500 ranking of the largest AEC companies in 2025.
